The Next50 Commitment
By creating an employer account on Next50, your organisation confirms the following four commitments:
Commitment 1: We assess candidates on capability, not chronology.
We do not use graduation year, age, or length of experience as a reason to screen out a candidate. Every applicant is assessed on what they can do — not when they started doing it. We do not use age proxies in our screening criteria, job advertisements, or internal briefings.
Commitment 2: We give every qualified applicant a fair hearing.
We do not filter applications by age proxies before a human reviews them. Every candidate who meets the stated requirements of a role will be considered on their merits. We do not use automated screening tools that disadvantage candidates based on factors correlated with age, including graduation year, total years of experience, or career gap duration.
Commitment 3: We offer genuine flexibility.
Where a role can reasonably accommodate flexible working arrangements — including part-time hours, hybrid or remote working, or compressed work weeks — we are open to that conversation at interview. We do not advertise flexibility we do not intend to deliver, and we do not use a candidate’s request for flexibility as a reason to deprioritise their application.
Commitment 4: We take complaints seriously.
If a Next50 member believes they have experienced age discrimination in our hiring process, we commit to investigating the complaint promptly and responding directly to the complainant within ten business days. Next50 reserves the right to remove the Age-Inclusive Employer badge and suspend or terminate the employer account of any organisation found to be in breach of this pledge.
